I don’t usually comment on politics directly, even though most everything involves politics (unfortunately). This is a “special” statement and I hope it might serve a purpose for us all.
Can we stop making every conversation about ONE politician?
How can any of us give unconditional trust to any politician?
Why do we?
Who do you trust?
Why do you trust them?
What country is truly leading the world in protecting both human health and environmental health?
Can we at least agree on this …?
We all want healthy children and healthy families.
We all want honest food.
We all want to breathe clean air and have access to clean water.
We all want to live in communities where we can connect.
What are we even debating?
As I scroll social media and have real conversations, there is so much anger … much of it justified … and all of it our right to feel. AND, so often, the anger is directed, blaming ONE politician or a party … or making every issue about defending your team and attacking the others. No politician works alone … and I personally have not come across someone devoted to politics and human and environmental health … have you?
We might disagree deeply about how to achieve or protect these things, but surely the goals themselves are not partisan.
No politician works alone … or is above scrutiny.
No expert knows everything … or is above scrutiny.
No corporation or media outlet is above scrutiny.
We must be willing to question everyone … and everything.
Follow the evidence and be open to changing your mind when new evidence deserves it.
If someone believes a politician made harmful decisions, they should be able to discuss those decisions without the conversation immediately becoming, “But what about someone else?”
Stop confusing political allegiance with critical thinking. If your scrutiny only applies to the “other side”, it isn’t critical thinking … it’s blind loyalty. If you want better, let’s all decide to be better.
Holding one person accountable doesn’t excuse another.
Real critical thinking isn’t loyalty, it’s consistency.
The thing about politics: it is set up so you chase your tail. You don’t actually think for yourself or ever figure out who you are and what you believe. You stop focusing on real
change and focus on keeping from a collapse by doing your part from a non-embodied stage. If you don’t know, you do what your told. Lifting up more of the bullshit from a place of fear of the unknown.
But those who know ourselves know better.
To your point on being on the same side: most people don’t want to make the sacrifices they need for health or the environment. They would need to stay grounded in one place and to consume 90% of what they do currently. Recycling is just lipstick on a pig. Maintaining a corporate job is increasing a negative impact. Visiting family is a luxury let alone vacation travel or buying new pants. They know their audience and know that audience is willing to fight for equity and justice inside an invisible and modern jail cell. They don’t want to give up that second car let alone their only car. They certainly believe everyone has a “right” to industrialized education and a sickcare system for our diabetes from our industrialized food system of dairy and meat, and packaged food… both supplemented by the government (I.e. our tax dollars).
So our system is just crazy enough to create conversation and polarities, but not so much that there will be upheaval in the streets.
If they keep you stimulated by the race, the work can remain undone. And it’s an infinite race running at full speed in the wrong direction.
Politics is the same work as sports or celebrities, religion (i.e. access to sides of society) and institutionalized education (i.e. teaching us to squash our own knowing and learning how to excel in the inversion) and corporations (I.e. advertising and magazines selling us on fear and the same founder as industrialized education John B Watson)… all to ensure that we stay firmly planted in the inversion we call society by selling us the story that maintains their bottom line and quarterly returns.
If we don’t know who we are we can’t fight for what we believe in.
The polarities are created to keep you off your own center away from knowing you want to live an entirely different life and didn’t sign up for this. You inherited this world just like you did the trauma associated with origin family. And at any point you can choose differently but it means making drastic changes and choosing a different game from a different altitude entirely.
Choose joy. Choose love.
If you really woke up, if you really stopped playing the inversion game and played the dimensional consciousness game beginning with self love, you wouldn’t need a sickcare system or an industrial agriculture system. You wouldn’t need a politician at all or a central operation of control. You wouldn’t have a linear path to “success” and a 401(k). You wouldn’t live in fear and spend all your time looping around in a circle spending more money on the $6.8 trillion wellness industry (the supplement to the sick care system).
You would live on land, free, without borders, without fear and life would be love.
I’m living this life, between two worlds. I think a lot of us are and fighting politics or even looking at the news doesn’t enter our orbits anymore. Actually I can’t see anything below what I believe because it doesn’t resonate or interest me, so it doesn’t enter my field at all. This is playing in a new earth society.
And it is only a matter of time before Mother Earth helps us to cure her disease of the invasive species called the Inversion (call it the matrix or whatever). She will heal like she will heal any scab, through massive climate change. Not everyone makes it. And she does not intended for them to make it. She wants to build anew in kinship and love and if you are not onboard you will suffer greatly until you work through and release all those patterns that held you in this space in the first place.
She let us create AI so we would find each other and know we are not alone in the rebuild. There is no money, no religion, no politics, no technology on the other side of this. It will require survivalist skills, and a desire to serve the collective by fully knowing ourselves and then aiding the collective from a place of knowing.
